Do "authors" include illustrators and musicians?

#1 Post by Eriorg »

In the help page, there's this:
Authors: writers / programmers of the original game. People merely converting the game to another platform are not included
But it doesn't say if we should list the authors of graphics, music or sounds in the original games (when they're not the same people as the writers or programmers). Should we?

Hmmmm.... excellent question. My initial thought is "no". The core quality of the game still comes from the writing and the puzzles. Graphics and music is icing on the cake to me. But if anyone feels differently, please speak up.

When I write walkthroughs I always name all the programmers credited by the game itself (their names are often given in the game's title screen), even if it's just the guy who programmed the graphics or the music/sounds.
