Moon Magic - Starting point

#1 Post by QN »

FYI, you can find this at the WofSpectrum.

A bug right off the start? Going N and trying to examine the folder transports you?

So far I get 4 different items (but end up with 3), modify the 1 item, but still die in two places and am stuck in a third.

Cryptic enough for you?

Modified Item

#2 Post by Guido »

I am a little further in the game (8 items).Hmm,so you modified an item? Maybe it´s the solution to my problem. (or do you mean the item was modified automatically, then I already know what you mean).
Now I´m stuck awfully bad, like the times I tried the game the first time.

Ok, catching up. Got 4 more items, into the new area then hit another one of those 'bang you're dead' spots.

And now?

Now what? The most obvious thing would be using the dynamite. But because of the VERY limited parser, I wonder how one should get it to work! I think just dropping something could also work. There also seems to be no possibility to interact with objects from the descriptions.

Moon Magic

I'm hurrying to catch up with you two. I've just made it to the spaceport. I have some dynamite, a fuse and match - and there is that one area back on the moon at the end of a river trench with a small hole...I'm thinking I could enlarge it in some way? I'm not sure if I'm on the wrong track or if I just haven't figured out the right verbs. Also, I haven't figured out what to do with the thirsty droid blocking the way east from the spaceport transport bay.

That´s exactly the point where I get stuck. I also noticed the hole and thought about it.But the problem seems to be to find the correct words. I don´t even know if you have to "connect" the fuse to the dynamite or if it is enough to have it in your Inventory or the same room.
And there are VERY few verbs the game recognises (At least I think it does)!!

So where is the oil? I have the items I think I need to get it, I just can't find it.

I would think it's where you find the tin, but how do you open the containers?

What do you think you need the oil for? The droid? I´m a little confused because I still try to do sonething with the dynamite. :? I cannot see any sign of an oilcan (although the game seems to understand "can") And I also have no tin
I definitively need a hint

Got it :D ! I was in every room try to "light dynamite" because it says you need a fuse to light the dynamite(not the fuse). Ok,I´ll try to continue.

Oil

#10 Post by Guido »

I got the oil!! :D . Because I know the game knows the word "PULL" I tried it with the chain. Try it somewhere in the oil rooms.

I think you already have the fuse, match and dynamite.Light the fuse in the correct place (you should make out something suspicious on the floor)

PS:Don´t drop the dynamite, just have the items in your inventory.

Hmmm, I haven't seen a chain to pull or anything suspicious on the floor...I must be missing an entire area somewhere. Do the footprints in the dust in the council room mean anything?

The room with the footprints is the place to light the fuse!!
And after that the chain "puzzle" is very obscure, so pull the chain in the oil-place no matter if it makes sense or not.
