Very nice job! I've added the link to our TRS-80 MC-10 description page. Hopefully people interested in that platform will find something they like
I remember this. It was published in 80 Micro if I remember rightly. It's not an adventure, but one of those awful choose your own adventure (CYOA) games. I've been trying to forget it for years, but it keeps rearing its ugly head in the form of unofficial ports for various machines. I think there was a sequel many years later called 'Assignment 46'. I don't want to know about that one either.
I'm not sure it's a "CYOA" game. Aren't those games (or books) where you make choices that lead to different possible alternate endings? This one is just an immensely simple "menu driven" adventure in Basic. You must figure out the single solution by figuring out the "right" menu selection for each scenario to get to the end and "Save the princess." Immensely simple, but perhaps a good game for a 5 or 6 year old.
That's exactly what a CYOA game is. It's multiple choice. Very boring. You can't do anything other than what the programmer has provided for in the menus. Hence no guess-the-verb scenarios, but lots of sudden death. No puzzles. No logical deduction. No satisfaction on completion. It's mindless entertainment for morons.
