Erm.... I'm grasping at straws here:
Supernova?

1478+57 = 1535 = the birth year of Dutch astrologer Cornelius Gemma, who (among other things) observed "the 1572 supernova appearing in Cassiopeia, which he recorded on 9 November, two days before Tycho Brahe, calling it a "New Venus."

Greeting guys! This is my first post on this forum.

I'm probably way off, but I'll make a guess:

Moonshards of Sacrimore (based on Thomas More 1478-1535).

Welcome! Nice to see new people entering the challenge. Good guess :thumb: lets see what Alastair has to say about it.

My guess, I searched the internet and believe it or not, I found a dog for sale in the United States which name is Venus, its number in the kennel is #1478 and its weight is 57 pound. This has to be the solution. Impossible this is coincidence  . So my guess is "Dog star adventure". Venus the dog and star form Zippy being the star of the show.

Shornet, welcome to the forum :thumb: Nice to see a new face and to get some assistance with this most challenging of challenges!

Come on, Alex, we all know you put up that dog for sale yourself! How long did it take you to feed the poop pup to the precise weight of 57 pounds?? ;)

As for you, Alastair, I can tell that my early challenges have been embarassingly simple! Taking the cue from Shornet, the Thomas More clue seems right, so...
Utopia (which he wrote, and the game takes place on a planet)

I have also thought of Utopia but I failed to see the connection to Venus (or Zippy).
Now, looking at the description of Utopia I think you are probably right, but it seems to me "Forbidden Planet Part I" (of which Utopia is a port from TRS-80 to Machintosh) would be a better match to the first set of clues.
So, if by any chance the answer is not Utopia, my guess would be "Forbidden Planet Part I".
I know it's not 100% fair, but I guess it's not against any rule of the game :). If it is, my apologies.

Correct! Now for the explanation.

Sir Thomas More lived 1478-1535. I was going to use "1478-1535" as a clue but putting that in Google gives multiple references to Sir Thomas More on the first page - and we wouldn't want the contest to be that easy, would we? - so I instead gave the age at which he was executed with a plus sign as a hint to add it to 1478. As most probably know, Utopia is one of More's most famous works.

If you read the synopsis for the game Utopia you will see that it is a port of the game Forbidden Planet Part I (here I must acknowledge Shornet for recognising the connection) but with the speech removed. The picture clue gave Venus, a forbidding - in one sense of the word - planet but not a forbidden - the other sense of forbidding - planet, and showed Zippy with his mouth zipped up so that he can no longer speak. Thus the first (really obscure :D) clue tells you that you are looking for a game that is NOT the forbidden planet and that it is now without speech.

Adventure Challenge Leaderboard after Game 13
1. Gunness - 6 points
2. Eriorg - 3 points
3. Alex - 3 points
4. Alastair - 1 point

Now over to Jacob for the next challenge.

 You caught me  but seriously it was such a coincidence when I found that on the internet, I just had to mention it.

My guess for your clue: "Fight or Flight"

Fight for acting in Western movies and Flight because of the combination of Level up and the John Wayne Airport.

Jacob, what do you say we tweak the rules a bit to make the game more dynamic?
I propose that a user can post a new answer only after another participant posted a new guess (as it is now) OR if, let's say, 24 hours passed since his last answer.
I think it's fair and would keep the game flowing better.
