I came across this game through a retro-friend and thought I'd give it a go. He helped his friend write it when they were both 14 and it does show a bit.
You play the part of an assassin with a mission to take out Mr Starlight.
The action starts in your house where you must get together some vital equipment before setting out for Cairo, and eventually another town, to seek your victim.
It's a fairly engaging game, and a premise I haven't played before, so I found it fairly enjoyable. There are some entertaining puzzles and some fun little twists. If the authors had continued to write games I think in time they would have written some really good stuff.
The ending is a bit sudden and easy, but the main issue is the parser. At times I knew what to do, but had no idea how to do it - FIRE GUARD rather than SHOOT or KILL for example. Also the briefcase plays a key role and finding the codes to DIAL are tricky because often where the code is hidden is not in the description.

Parser/Vocabulary (Rating: 4/10)

Very weak, sometimes you really have to work hard to find the right words.

Atmosphere (Rating: 6/10)

A nice bit of atmosphere in places, with some amusing descriptions and sequences.

Cruelty (Rating: Tough)

Very tough in places. There are a couple of actions, that if taken, will lead to you playing a lot of the game and then finding you are stuck at a dead end. Also a fair few sudden deaths, especially early on.

Puzzles (Rating: 5/10)

A few interesting ones. You are reliant on the briefcase a lot though and finding codes is tricky and badly guided.

Overall (Rating: 5/10)

A great first effort from a young author, but very frustrating in places.
