Synopsis
The numerous Megalithic monuments which are scattered across these islands are the subjects of countless legends and folk-tales.
In THE NINE DANCERS, you play the part of a reporter for a local newspaper who has been asked to write an article on the stories connected with some of the local tourist sites.
As the bus on which you are travelling winds through narrow country lanes, you gaze out at the passing scenery. The bus swerves to avoid a fox which suddenly runs out in front of it and you are jolted from your seat.
The bus stops in Steignton and you get out.

Quite brief - slightly surreal and not too difficult, apart from some unfair timed puzzles.
The ending, however, didn't make a whole lot of sense.
The Inform version is full of bugs. Several object flag error messages appear at various stages. The shop can be entered post vandalism but you cannot leave again; another inventory flag is not reset upon entry with another error message about missing object 82. The policeman appears (although the room inside the store is described as pitch black) then immediately vanishes. IN from the lake mysteriously puts you on "the galleon" although no such object is ever described as existing. SLEEP parses "You feel especially drowsy." The word "not" has been mistakenly omitted. There is an item which, if dropped cannot be picked up again without any logical reason; the game merely parses "sorry." I gave up at this point.
