Plot

Enter the forests of Nimdor, find the magic potion that has to save your people from destruction, fight against fierce enemies, develop your magic and build your own legend...

The words of your master still resound in your head... Your people are in grave danger! You must enter the dark forests of Nimdor, and find a magic potion that has to save your people from the epidemic created by the evil sorcerer... whose name is forbidden to pronounce....

The forest of Nimdor is inhabited by a stout guardian, to whom you must pay the price for wandering in the domains he oversees... And for a beautiful lady! But beware of her, for her madness is comparable to her beauty...

Beware of the creatures of the dark wizard as he comes out of the forest! You must find a gem to scare them away. When you reach the village... Expect no welcome! The king's soldiers are alert for an imminent attack, so use your cunning to enter the citadel. When the potion is delivered meet me in the fortress hidden among the swampy jungles... Now leave for your destination... and may the Goddess accompany you on your way!

Notes

Adventure with illustrations. Wiz Lair: The Wizard's Den is the remake of a text adventure that was created in 1989 by Sebastian Luis Fuentes (Atlantic Soft) programmed with the PAWS tool for ZX Spectrum and distributed by the CAAD fanzine.

The original Spectrum adventure received harsh criticism in some fanzines of the time, but always retained a genuine classic flavor. If you want to know what the adventure was like, get a ZX Spectrum emulator and play the original game.
