Unfortunately during the great inter-galactic war of 4065 the co-ordinates of the planet Danthor - the only known source of Mithrillium - were lost. Now the last few surviving mithrillium crystals are jealously guarded by their owners and each small crystal is worth the price of a planet. For the ordinary citizens of the galaxy Mithrillium has become no more than a myth. Tales are still sometimes told by wild eyed travellers who claim to have seen Mithrillium or to have found the legendary planet Danthor only to be driven off by the savage Danthor-wolves - huge vicious creatures which are said to guard the precious crystals.
Some years ago a dying alien told you of an old hermit living on the planet Arielm who just might know the co-ordinates of Danthor. Since then you have been saving all your money until at last you have enough cash to buy a spaceship. Your ship - The Starchaser - isn't exactly a luxurious space-yacht, but she will get you from one planet to another (just about). So now you have landed on Arielm,
all you have to do is find the hermit, get the coordinates of Danthor and find the Mithrillium crystals. Simple isn't it!?
