Good investigation work! I've removed Terror Castle now.
It's so much easier when you have a copy of the game!

Re: R. Dunn - the same author or two different people?
Hard to tell; "R. Dunn" is not the most unique anglo-saxon initial and surname; but there's a couple of years between the two games so it could be the same author. More research is needed.

For the ZX81, the entries are either already in, or I've already ruled out, except for the following:
Encounter
Gametape III 3D
Starquest
Trader

Re: Any French Speakers on here?
There's a game called La Caverne des Lutins (for the Victor Lambda computer) which, according to the review (pages 13 and 14 ) in the September/October 1982 issue of Tilt , is a pure text adventure in French with a parser. I don't know if it's a translation or not, though.

Re: Any French Speakers on here?
Here's an ad from French magazine Tilt (March/April 1983) which lists some software for the PHC:
Thanks for the advert. Just a warning: don't click on the image; the site it takes you to has adult adverts! Fortunately I wasn't reading this on my work laptop! (Gunness/Alastair, any chance of ...

the Sanyo PHC-25 has all these keywords.

Re: Any French Speakers on here?
So these are modern unofficial ports? In the past we've tried to stay away from unofficial ports (although some are on the site). It gets more complicated with adventures published with source and conversion notes for multiple machines.

Re: Tunnelmaze, Underground Adventure et.al.
I've added a note to the game: I found the version of Castlemaze for the Sharp MZ-80K on a collection tape from the Sharp Users Club. So I'm guessing it's an unofficial conversion.

Re: revision MSX games
I wonder whether some of these games are for some of the pre-MSX (or near MSX) computers, like the SC-3000 and the SVI-318? There seems to be a lot of confusion in the scene about MSX machines, probably as BlueMSX will run the near MSX computers.

Re: another technical question
It sounds like the SWAP file hasn't been created. If you start the emulator and do a "Load Disc 0" from the menu, then type in *CAT, you should see a SWAP file. If it isn't there then I may have to do some digging.

Re: another technical question
From having a quick look inside the program (adv2) it tries to load a file called SWAP (which I presume is saved at the end of the first adventure). By default Beeb-Em write protects inserted discs, so saving this file would fail.
You can switch off write protect, by going File->Disc Options and ...
