Re: New site launched

Looks nice. Clear, well-arranged, no unnecessary fluff. I already commented on those few games I solved, so that you admins have something to do :D

Re: Reviews - your input needed!

I think the cruelty scale isn't all that bad. May be "invented" for new games, but as far as I remember the games I played, it's applicable enough to all of them. Personally, I would go for the cruelty and the frustration ratings. I'm sure you will provide a freetext box for any additional ...

As always, I'm just a voice from the off (i.e. not playing the game myself)... Did you already try to just cross it several times? The expression "WHAT LUCK" might indicate that it's simply an annoying random element.

That sounds more like a toy for playing point & click adventures on. No idea if you're into that sort of thing, but as far as I know, there are some p&c games for such a device.

Just for the records, in case anyone really still bothers with this game :-).

Where to use the jemmy?

Not sure if it's needed. If yes, I suppose you have to have it in your inventory once you find the obvious place to use it (after you got past the secretary).

Where to use the security card ...

As far as I know your preferences, you will be pretty disappointed by "Labyrinth", I reckon. Only the very start is a short text adventure part, and then you enter the Labyrinth and it becomes more of a point & click sort of thing. It also has a few "arcade" parts, which are pretty hard to manage ...

Okay, shame on me... I played it with occasional help of the solution. So, Terri, Amby - if you haven't given up yet, and want to try without cheating, ask me when you're totally stuck.

There are indeed a lot of red herrings. Or at least items that have nothing to do with the actual solution, but ...

Lucky me. I own a cool USB Classic Competition Pro Joystick :-).

With the VICE emulator I never had any problems with keyboard control (before I bought my trusty Joystick). You using another sim?

edit: I just tried it out with keyboard control, and did a bit of ...

I might, in fact. I have looked at a screenshot, and it appears that this game's optics were an inspiration to Lucasfilm's Labyrinth. Since Labyrinth is the great-grandmother of all Lucasfilm adventures, and a game that had me fascinated for over 20 years, the graphics alone scream at me to have a ...

I guess I could write a tiny bit about the games I played, not a big deal.

As for the similarities to other sites: Yes, there will be some. The layout reminded me already of game sites like Lemon64. But hey, it is a good layout, so I wouldn't bother much.

Sort of old topic, I know, but one comment on drawing maps:

I use Corel Draw. Doesn't make a beauty of a map, but sure is effective and quick. With a few tiny tricks, you can make your life very easy, and have a map with like 30 locations, descriptions included, ready in 20 minutes.

Oh, this goes ...

Apart from the design (which you mentioned isn't final at all anyway), it looks great. No idea if a design like this means more work for you or not, though.
