German adventure 'Buch der Weisheit'
A call to all german members here. I started playing a text adventure called Buch der Weisheit (C64), and according to the area I already mapped, it looks like a huge game, and pretty nice so far.
With the sword, I already got past the Tiger, and the Spider's nest, but right now, I am stuck. The ...

Pen and paper here. Still the most convenient and flexible of all, at least while playing. Editing the finished maps for elecronic use I do with CorelDraw (I guess Adobe Illustrator works just as well). Corel is perfect for the standard text adventure map style. Draw one square, copy/paste, then ...

Hi Jacob,
Nice of you to send site update mails now and then to remind me there was something I promised long ago, heh. I'm still alive. PhD not yet finished, but what the hell... I just downloaded VICE and a few german adventures. Lets see if I can get a few solutions/maps/hint lists ready in the ...

Hi Jacob and all you other maniacs,
Just wanted to pop in to say hello. Good to see this site still active and growing. I wish I had the time to add a few things myself, but with my PhD thesis approaching it's final phase, there's no gaming for me, or my prof will rip parts best not mentioned off ...

finished the game? Congrats. So Jacob can soon expect a set of maps and a walkthrough from you, I hope ;-)
A bug... could be. After all, I had to give up another one of those AD&D games back then because of some weird bug. I think it was Secret of the Silver Baldes, where some important battle was ...

Okay, found it. Wasn't all clear if you actually were in Voice Wood or not from your entry. Just in case you weren't: The entrance to Voice Wood is at the eastern side of Dulcimer, where you have to defeat the Lich first to be able to get into the wood. In the Wood you get the Rod of Omniscience. I ...

I'm afraid there is one encounter I can't find. Looked up my old scraps and found out the place I was looking for is called Dargaard Keep. I played the c64 emulated game, btw. Surprised you didn't get a "you won" message in CoK, btw, as there certainly is a final showdown and a "you have saved Krynn ...

re: terri
hehe... well yeah, it helps somewhat if you are an old AD&D pen and paper player. Then you know all those 5000 rules by heart, can forget about the 40 page rulebook and enjoy the storyline instead. If you are not, I'd agree it's quite scary

Death Knights of Krynn - stuck for ages now.
Very frustrating, this one. After solving and mapping almost everything in the game, I'm stuck, because I can't find the way to the last encounter. It's been a while since I tried, so I can't give you specific questions right now. Maybe this post will wake up someone out there who has managed to ...
