Re: Twine games?

Definitely useful to have that thread made sticky.

Although, this comment from the thread was never really addressed...
Further on the subject, what us the policy concerning those thousands of hypertext and multiple choice "games" being made these days?

...and that's basically Twine games.

Re: Twine games?

For me, CASA is invaluable *both* as a database of solutions and as a reference source for information about old text adventures. I use it daily. It is far more accurate, and comprehensive, than the IFDB when it comes to the old pre-2000 games that are often ignored, and to be honest often poorly ...

Twine games?

I've noticed a few modern Twine games have been added to the site recently.

Are they considered part of the scope of the CASA? I'm sure they're enjoyable but I wouldn't personally think of them as parser games and they are not, unlike some of the multiple-choice games that also stretch the ...

Re: Steve W. Lucas games

Given how little seemed to work, it sounds like it would've needed an errata book rather than an errata sheet.

Re: Steve W. Lucas games

I have searched quite extensively online but I've not found any trace of him so far. I don't have any biographic details for him which makes things trickier.

The Amstrad version of the book seems very rare. I've found references that a copy went for £113 on ebay about ten years ago. That's a lot to ...

Yes, that book might be useful as it has the same games in it according to the index.

Re: Steve W. Lucas games

A Journey Through Space sounds like it'll be a variation of one of the existing games; probably the Journey of a Space Traveller/A Visitor from Space one. I'm guessing Wizard's Quest will have familiar elements too. Snow White, at least, has the chance of being something new.

Re: Steve W. Lucas games

With the MSX version you do not start at the pyramid, but in a village and you first have to go through a desert maze to reach the entrance. See my map.

Yeah, it still seems to be the same basic game, though. Definitely seems like a stretch for Tony to claim it as original! Mind you, as Steve ...

Re: Land of Adventure? Adventureland?

Cool. Unless there are any objections, I will delete Land of Adventure as a standalone entry and just add a note about it (with the release date, "publisher", system etc) to the bottom of the Adventureland entry.

Re: Juleadventurespil type-in from 'Hjemmedata'

The author's other entry in the database is Danish, so I think the language will be correct.

There appears to also have been a short-lived (six issue) Danish publication with the same title as the Norwegian magazine, given it's entry in the Royal Danish Library archives...
