I need to make an empty tape file to be able to save a game in my emulator (ZXspin) . Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Let me clarify my question. I finished the first part of the game and now I am asked to insert a tape to save the game and then load it into the second part. How do you do that on a zx spectrum emulator? I have ZXspin and EMuzwin on my computer. I don't know which one is better for this.

Alex, for ZXSpin under the Recording menu choose Tape Recording > Insert Tape for Saving, then choose where you want to save the file and give it a name, remembering to give it the tape image extension you desire. After that go back to the Spectrum program and let it save the game.

Also, this may or may not be useful to you, but you should check out ZX-BlockEditor at https://worldofspectrum.net/zx-modules/2/index.html.
