Hey,
Just wondered if anyone else had noticed there's a bit of text adventuring going on in the UK's Retro Gamer magazine over the last couple of issues. Issue 77 had a The Making of ... article on Zork, whilst this month's issue 78 has a lookback behind-the-scenes at Magnetic Scrolls.
Apparently, there's something else adventure-y planned for issue 80 too.

Worth a look-see.

Indeed. I have bought both these issues, have read the "Zork issue" (77?) and did find yet another adventure game article in it, namely about a Beatles game. The joy.

Thanks for the reminder. Ohhhh, Beatle Quest.... what an... oddity I mean, fond as I am of The Fab Four, this game just seemed odd for the sake of it.

I never heard about the Beatles game until I read about it in Retro Gamer, which made it an even funnier read. Seems like a strange game, yes.

I wonder, was there something of interest in issue 80 of Retro Gamer?Samwise wrote:

I haven't got it in front of me, but I didn't spot anything noteworthy IIRC. It was a hint from the RG forums that prompted me to write that. Perhaps they bumped the feature to the next issue, or maybe it was cut completely. There is a feature in issue 81 on the Making of Day of the Tentacle I believe ...
