Partial walkthrough by Alex Dijkstra for the Trs80-coco

This walkthrough should get you through the first three parts of the game. Unfortunately the version
I found on the internet crashes after loading the fourth and final part. If anyone knows where to
get a working copy, please let me know.

Part 1

E, E, OPEN REFRIGERATOR, GET CRACKER, W, U, W, FEED PARROT, CRACKER (You can now pull the coat), E,
E, GET FOOD, W, S, OPEN DRAWER, GET CHEESE, E, GET CAGE, W, S, EXAMINE COAT (you learn the code
drlio), PULL COAT (a door to the west opens), N, N, D, W, S, MOVE RUG (the id-card blows away to a
random location on the ground floor. Find the card,get it and return here to resume the
walkthrough), E, READ WALL, SAY IT, DROP CHEESE, GET MOUSE (you need the cage), START PROJECTOR (you
get a hint about someone running away from the cat), E, USE COMPUTER, DRLIO (you learn the safe
combo 12,2,21), S, OPEN DOOR, DROP MOUSE, GET CAT, N, N, W, U, S (save your game because the fight
with the guard is random.), W, ATTACK GUARD (repeat until the guard is dead. if you die reload your
save game and try again), OPEN DESK, GET KEY, MOVE PICTURE, OPEN SAFE (you can only do this if you
learned the combo from the computer), GET MONEY, E, S, W, U (with key), RIDE HELICOPTER (you pay
with the money and you fly away. You loose all objects except the cat, card and food).

Part 2

E, N, LISTEN, W, N, GET SWORD, N, N, E, E, N, ENTER POOL.

Part 3

DROP CAT, INSERT CARD, N, READ MESSAGE, N, N, EXAMINE EYES, EXAMINE EAST, GET SCROLL, READ PLAQUE,
EXAMINE CENTER, ENTER CENTER, READ SCROLL, Y, SWING SWORD (without reading the scroll it is dark),
EXAMINE PICTURE, W, N, SEARCH (you find a black machine), GET MACHINE, EXAMINE BOX, ENTER BOX, N, N,
N, E, GET RING, EXAMINE HIROGLYPHICS (you notice a slot), INSERT RING, SLOT, W, GET BOTTLE, W, FEED
PUPPY, BOTTLE, EXAMINE RIVER, CROSS RIVER, GET KEYS, N (a gnome steals the keys), W (thanks to the
black machine you understand the worm master), N, SAY QZHCIRUB (you become a worm), ENTER HOLE, READ
NOTICE, SAY BURICHZQ (you become human again), GET KEYS, CALL KENDALL (you are transported to the
beginning of the cave), N, W, N, GET SWORD, S, E, ENTER DOORS (with keys), GOLD, N (you loose all
objects except the sword).

Part 4

Some hints on how to solve the last part:

-Inside the maze a monster is walking. You have a random chance of meeting him. If you encounter it,
you can run to a random location or fight it with your sword.
-You need the key to enter the control room.
-You need the glove to protect yourself against the piranas.
-Once you've performed the right actions inside the control room, you get the following
message:

The time machine has been returned to its original state; You are to be congratulated! You are to be
known by all Quandic as a hero!. A final picture is loaded and the game ends.


Note:
According to the program code you should also be able to scare the guard away by dropping the cat,
but this possibility is random. It is only possible if ma(0)=2. The value of ma(0) should be a
random value (0, 1 or 2), but it appears the random function on the TRS-80 coco, like on several
other platforms, is not that random at all.
