THE CITADEL by Jack Lockerby Zenobi Software Spectrum 48 Like all of Jack's games, this is relatively complex, well written, and a challenge to play. It uses adverbs, and frequently more than two words are needed. There is the added pressure of time constraints, so type quickly or press the "pause" button. SAVE/RESTORE are necessary functions as often you get a hint what you need when you "die" or when you examine an object. However, there are one or two times when there is no clue about what to do. Several objects are needed more than once. The backpack can hold an unlimited number of objects. However, to take everything from the backpack, you need to put everything in it. Zuron is laying siege to the citadel. The dragon statues need to be activated. You are given a torch (horn), which can only be ignited at the everlasting flame that burns in the northern mountain range. Once lit, it will transport you back and ignite the dragons' fires. You must ignite the torch before the last wall (there are five) is breached. The King fixes a gold necklet around your neck to let you know when a wall falls.
