BEHIND CLOSED DOORS 5 By John Wilson (c) PENSION PRODUCTIONS 2019 Based on the original 2011 Twine game "Balrog scratched his arse and admited his handiwork. It was a fine sunny day and the warm rays of the sun glistened off the shiny new paint that now adorned the door in front of him. Mrs Balrog would be pleased with his efforts as she had been nagging him for months to do something about 'that eye-sort at the bottom of the garden'. Balrog could either open the door or go to bed for a quick nap..." *** Solution by Gareth Pitchford *** You start outside the legendary 'smallest room'... GO TO BED (Mrs Balrog won't let you into the house!), I (nothing), WORN (pants, shirt, slippers), EXAM PANTS, EXAM POCKETS (nothing in the *side* pockets), EXAM DOOR, OPEN DOOR (Perhaps it's locked?), UNLOCK DOOR (You'll need the key that's in the Balrog's back pocket), GET KEY (from the back pocket), UNLOCK DOOR (It's painted shut... You hear laughter and music from over the hedge), EXAM HEDGE (the troll lives over the other side, you see some paint), GET TIN, TALK TO TROLL (he gives you a hint), WEST (at the side of the smallest room), EXAM HOLE, GO THROUGH HOLE (don't be stupid), EXAM IMPLEMENTS (a spade, a hoe, a rake and some shears... all rusty), GET SHEARS, EXAM SHEARS (pretty blunt), EAST, EXAM RHUBARB, CUT RHUBARB (not until Balrog's done his business), OPEN DOOR (it refuses to budge), PRISE DOOR (the shears break but you're now in the smallest room). PULL CHAIN (water floods down the pipes), EXAM PIPES (cistern), EXAM CISTERN, EXAM BOWL, EXAM SHELF, GET GAZZETTE (if you wish), READ GAZZETTE, EXAM CROSSWORD, EXAM CLUE (if you dare!), **Type the most obvious four letter word to use the toilet! **, LEAVE (You'd better fix the door!) EXAM DOOR (There's a chunk missing!), PAINT DOOR (Mrs Balrog would notice the chunk missing!), GO TO BED (Still doesn't work), SNEAK INSIDE (a distraction is necessary!), GET STONE, THROW STONES (not quite!), EXAM HOUSE, EXAM ROOF, EXAM ROOKS, GET STONE, THROW STONES AT WINDOW (Mrs Balrog comes out to chase after the rooks), SNEAK INSdIDE (Balrog grabs and uses some 'plastic wood' from the house), PAINT DOOR (Now to sort out the rhubarb!), CUT RHUBARB, TALK TO MRS. Congratulations! You've completed your chores and are allowed back inside! *** You may also like to try... ...scratching...well, something... and examing it too... ...talking to Fuddo and Slam, reading the others sections of the gazzette (the articles and reviews)... ...the usual BCD one word inputs... including the four letter ones...!
