Lost Tomb of Ananka, The (ananka-letter.txt)

[Below is the contents of the letter, included in a sealed envelope with the game The Lost Tomb of
Ananka, to be opened only when instructed:]

To whomever finds this letter, please get it to Dr. Jack Foswell of the British Museum.

Jack by the time you read this, I am sure that I will be dead. I have been trapped now for three
days now, without food or water and I am becoming very weak. A landslide has sealed me inside this
tomb with no obvious ways of getting out. I have explored as much of it as possible and yesterday I
had worked my way up into a long passageway. The walls of it are covered with detailed paintings and
hieroglyphics. I have done a few rough drawings of some of the images and have been spending my time
deciphering some of the messages which run the length of this passageway. This morning I found small
Ba hidden behind a golden relief. The hieroglyphics on this relief speak of the royal protector
being brought back to life with the power of this small Ba! The paintings however show this same
protector destroying the one who awakes him. Only the words of power will stop him...

Further down this passageway, I found a relief showing the sacred scarab carryings the sun and
entering the burial chamber of Ananka. I do not know what this means, but I know that it must be
important. I have noticed since I have been working my way up the mountain from within this tomb,
that several strange noises keep echoing through the tunnels and passageways. I know my senses are
beginning to fail, as I am becoming very dehydrated. Earlier today, I could swear that I heard
muffled footsteps coming down the tunnel but when I called they stopped. I also keep catching
glimpses of some huge creature moving around the tunnels but never see it fully. I think that I may
be loosing my mind. I am trying to keep a grip on reality, but I am feeling tired and weak.

Jack, I don't believe in ancient curses, but there is something about these paintings. Pass the
test of the Gods before you enter the burial chamber of Ananka or he will [the message ends abruptly
there]
