Notes
1. The children appear at random, when you meet them EXAMINE CHILDREN (note that one of them has a
racket). 
2. Father Cash walks from the church to the pub and back again.  When you meet him EXAMINE FATHER
CASH (he has a key around his neck).
3. Although the walk through refers to WAIT the game doesn't actually understand this.  Just
input anything until the desired person or bus arrives.
4. Note the spelling of swap "SWOP."

(Start at the bus stop on the outskirts of Castleford), S, S (pub), ASK BARMAN ABOUT WORKER
(he's just been sacked), EXAMINE WORKER (wearing overalls), TALK TO BALD MAN (he wants a
stronger drink), N, N, N, N, N, N, E (at Mrs. Hill's front door), KNOCK ON DOOR (no answer),
KNOCK ON DOOR (Mrs. Hill opens it), ASK MRS HILL ABOUT MANOR (she tells you about Jonathan Williams
who is the owner of the manor and a retired millionaire), W, W, W, N, N, W, S, W (church), W (small
room at the back of the church where you see a tabernacle), E, E, S, E (outside Mr. Quinn's
house where Mr. Quinn is busy gardening), ASK MR QUINN ABOUT WILLIAMS (he was going to play tennis
with him but he's lost his racket), W, S, S, S (wooden cabin), EXAMINE FISHERMAN (he's
using crutches), ASK FISHERMAN ABOUT CRUTCHES (he's damaged his wooden leg and he needs a
substitute), N, E, N (in a shop), TALK TO WOMAN (sells everything and her husband is a jeweller). 

S, E, E, N (Seaview hotel), RING BELL (hotel manager arrives), GET ROOM KEY, EXAMINE KEY (number 4),
U, UNLOCK ROOM 4, IN (your room), CLIMB THROUGH WINDOW (to roof of an old building), CLIMB THROUGH
SKYLIGHT (into derelict building), EXAMINE BUILDING (find a table hidden in a dark corner), MOVE
TABLE UNDER SKYLIGHT, PULL LEG FROM TABLE, CLIMB ONTO TABLE (back onto the roof), CLIMB THROUGH
WINDOW (back to your room), OUT, D, S (main road), W, W, W, S (back to fisherman's cabin), GIVE
LEG TO FISHERMAN (he gives you a broken clock), N, E, N (back to the shop), GIVE CLOCK TO WOMAN (she
gives you a jacket), S.

E, E, E, E, S, S (back in the pub), ASK BARMAN ABOUT FATHER CASH (he is a regular there but usually
sticks to minerals), SWOP JACKET FOR OVERALLS, WEAR OVERALLS, WAIT (until Father Cash arrives), BUY
DRINK FOR FATHER CASH, BUY DRINK FOR FATHER CASH, BUY DRINK FOR FATHER CASH (he staggers to his feet

stop), S, S (pub), GIVE POTEEN TO BALD MAN (he gives you a pair of leather gloves), EXAMINE GLOVES,
WEAR GLOVES, N, N, N, N, N, N, E (Mrs. Hills front door), KNOCK ON DOOR, KNOCK ON DOOR (Mrs. Hill
opens it - this gets her out of the kitchen), W, N, E, S (in Mrs. Hills back yard and there is a
lovely smell coming from the kitchen window), EXAMINE WINDOW (find a cake on the window ledge), GET
CAKE.

N, W, S, S, S, S, S (bus stop), WAIT (until you see the children), SWOP CAKE FOR RACKET, W, W, W, W,
W, N, N, E (Quinn's house), GIVE RACKET TO MR QUINN (he goes to play tennis with Jonathan), W,
N, N, E, S (telephone), DIAL 999 (the police are on their way - this gets them out of the police
station), N, W, S, S, S, S (quieter area), E, E, N (police station), GET FIRE HOSE, EXAMINE FIRE

exit leads up), U (you are overlooking Castleford Manor by a chimney), TIE HOSE TO CHIMNEY, CLIMB
DOWN HOSE (inside the grounds of Castleford Manor), W (driveway), N (outside the manor), X WINDOW
(locked), BREAK WINDOW, OPEN WINDOW (you unlock and open it), CLIMB THROUGH WINDOW (into library), E
(hall), N (kitchen), EXAMINE KITCHEN (find a knife), GET KNIFE, S, E (drawing room where you see an
expensive painting hanging on the wall), CUT PAINTING FROM FRAME, GET PAINTING, EXAMINE PAINTING, W,
