If you are carrying anything you will be put in the cooler and the game will end. As it is necessary to carry things from place to place within the camp, it is a good idea to save the game regularly, then if caught by a guard, just restore your position and try again by a different route. Also, playing "save and restore" allows you to figure out if a guard will see you before you get to a safe place, and you can drop some objects in the open and retrieve then when the guard is gone. 2. You will need to attend roll-call in the square regularly, make sure you drop any objects in a safe place first. 3. When meal time comes you have three moves to drop any objects you may be carrying before you automatically go to the cookhouse for a meal.
