(Start in the bedroom of the Golden Krone Hotel), EXAMINE WINDOW, D (stairway), EXAMINE grandfather
CLOCK (see hands), OPEN CLOCK face, GET HAND, D (to hallway), EXAMINE PAINTINGS (note if you try to
taken them you will be thrown out), E (into dining hall), EXAMINE TABLE, GET SUGAR cubes, EXAMINE
SUGAR, N, N (to hotel entrance), E (to front yard where peasants are), LISTEN (they are talking
about you), TALK PEASANTS (they are afraid and leave).
E (to outside hotel), N, W (to garden path), ENTER HOUSE, EXAMINE HOUSE, GET GARLIC, EXAMINE GARLIC,
E (into lounge), EXAMINE LADY, TALK to LADY (she tells you to seek help from her husband the
blacksmith), EXAMINE BOWL, W, S, W (to a well used road to the Borgo Pass), EXAMINE TREE, CLIMB
TREE, BREAK BRANCH, EXAMINE BRANCH (about two ft. long), N (to where there are large wooden crosses
and you hear wolves in the distance - note the wolves will kill you if you go further north), S, E,
E, ENTER SMITHY, EXAMINE BLACKSMITH, TALK to BLACKSMITH (he hands you a key to the castle), EXAMINE
RUBBISH, SEARCH RUBBISH, GET heavy metal COG, EXAMINE COG, EXAMINE BENCH, E (into a dirty back
room), GET SHOVE, EXAMINE SHOVEL, W, W, S, S (into a lush field of green), EXAMINE FIELD (you see a
fence), CLIMB FENCE, EXAMINE FIELD, GET foreign COIN, EXAMINE COIN, N.
E, S (into a graveyard where a wolf stalks you - just don't hang around too long), S (into
church), PRAY, EXAMINE WINDOW (you see holy wafers), GET WAFERS, EXAMINE WAFERS (eight thin disks of
unleavened bread), SEARCH CHURCH, GET CRUCIFIX, EXAMINE CRUCIFIX (emanates holy power), N, N, W, W
(to by carriage shelter), SIT, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT (until a horse and carriage arrives), EXAMINE
CARRIAGE (you see the driver), TALK to DRIVER (he crosses himself and mumbles a prayer), EXAMINE
HORSES, FEED HORSES (with the sugar cubes), TALK to DRIVER (he agrees to take you to the castle...
do you climb in?), YES (you begin the journey... after some hours you arrive at Castle Dracula and
are in the courtyard - note if you go south you will meet the same wolves you met earlier, who will
kill you).
EXAMINE DOOR, UNLOCK DOOR (using the key the blacksmith gave you), E (into entrance hall), N (the
door to the north is locked), PICK LOCK, OPEN DOOR, N, EXAMINE FIREPLACE (two dragons sit on a dusty
mantelpiece), ENTER FIREPLACE (there is nothing there but ashes), GET ASHES, E (into the
count's library), EXAMINE LIBRARY (there are shelves and shelves of books), SEARCH LIBRARY (you
discover the count's papers), GET PAPERS, READ PAPERS, W, S, U (to dining hall), EXAMINE TABLE
(you see a large carving knife), GET KNIFE (it is stuck), PUSH KNIFE (you loosen it), PULL KNIFE
(you now have it), SHARPEN BRANCH (you whittle it into a stake).
E, E (into bedroom), EXAMINE BED, EXAMINE WINDOW (it overlooks a vast chasm), OPEN WINDOW (jammed),
LEVER WINDOW (using the knife... with much effort you manage to pry it open enough to climb
through), REMOVE SHOES (must do this before you can climb through the window - note if you enter the
window you will fall the abyss below), CLIMB OUT (must have removed shoes - you are standing
precariously on a window ledge), CLIMB DOWN (to east side of castle wall), CLIMB DOWN (to another
window ledge), ENTER WINDOW (to the count's study),
EXAMINE DOOR (it is jammed shut), KICK DOOR (it opens a little), PUSH DOOR (it opens), W (into a
stone passageway) W (to stairs), D (into a ruined chapel), EXAMINE CHAPEL (you see a small dark hole
high above in the roof), E, D (into a dark vault with decayed coffins everywhere), U, W, W, D (into
a dingy vault), EXAMINE COFFINS (three stand out), BREAK WAFERS (you now have 16 thin disks of
unleavened bread), BREAK WAFERS (now have 32), DROP COG (the floor gives way and you find yourself
in Dracula's crypt), PICK LOCK (using the clock hand).
