TEWK /Gilsoft/ ============== This game is strictly deterministic, so it is possible to give an exact step by step solution. The solution given here is not the shortest one (the game itself is quite simple), but the most complete solution (i.e. the solution which gives to you the most amount of fun). Solution: --------- EXAMINE SCREEN (note that speech command system is active), READ MANUAL (you will learn about how to communicate with the ship computer), SAY "COMMANDS", SAY "INFORMATION", SAY "NIMROD", SAY "BAYBERRY" (you get an useful hint), SAY "PLATTERPLANTS" (now you collected all information available), EXAMINE RED BOX, OPEN RED BOX, LOOK IN RED BOX, TAKE SCREWDRIVER OUT OF RED BOX, TAKE KEY OUT OF RED BOX, N, TAKE BOTTLE, EXAMINE BOTTLE, E, OPEN DOOR (manual controls are jammed), SAY "OPEN" (the atmosphere is not suitable for humanoid life), DROP KEY, TAKE SPACESUIT, WEAR SPACESUIT (now you are safe), SAY "OPEN" (the airlock system is malfunctioned), EXAMINE PANEL, INSERT SCREWDRIVER IN PANEL, OPEN DOOR, POUR BOTTLE ON SPACESUIT (a protection against Bayberries), DROP BOTTLE, TAKE KEY, E, N, UNLOCK DOOR, OPEN DOOR, ENTER BOX (well done). Hints: ------ - Instead of SAVE and LOAD, you can use RAMSAVE and RAMLOAD to save the game position into a memory buffer. - This game does not know the word INVENTORY. Use STATUS instead. - Some versions of this game know the preposition FROM in addition to OUT, so you can type TAKE KEY FROM RED BOX instead of TAKE KEY OUT OF RED BOX. - Do not play with the yellow box: it contains the nuclear power cell, and it can explode eventually... Comment: -------- This is a simple illustrated game written by Graame Yeandle in the Gilsoft's Proffesional Adventure Writer (PAW). It is written as a demonstration game which shows the possibilities of the PAW. Although it is just a small (with only 5 locations) demonstration game, it is fun and well designed. The parser recognized relatively complex sentences as well. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Game solution by Zeljko Juric If something is not clear, ask me using e-mail: zjuric@utic.net.ba ***************************************************** Displayed on the Classic Adventures Solution Archive: http://solutionarchive.com
