Scenario
You are a bum who is about to get involved in an adventure of a lifetime! You must report to an
assigned location before you run out of time to gain your inheritance.
Walk Through
(Start in the town square lying on a bench), STAND UP (there is a man following you), WAIT
(he's getting closer), WAIT (he's approaching you), WAIT (he's very close), WAIT (as
he passes he stuffs a note into your coat pocket), READ NOTE (you must collect your fortune at the
attorney's office by 11.00 am. properly attired), DROP NOTE, W, N, W (dead end in the park),
TAKE MONEY, EXAMINE MONEY (a $10 bill).
E, S, W, S, S, W (small garden), TAKE KEY, EXAMINE KEY (a skeleton key), E, N, N, E, E (town
square), S, E, S (beginning of forest), W, S, S, W, S, E (small bar), BUY WINE (using the $10 bill),
EXAMINE WINE (a cheap bottle of wine but priceless to an average bum), W, N, N, E, N, E, N, W (town
square), N, E (dead end in an alley where a bum offers to tell you a secret in return for some
wine), GIVE WINE TO BUM (he says PENURY), W, S, S, E, S, W, S, E, E, S (another section of forest
with a door east - a voice says "The password or you're dead"), SAY PENURY (the door
swings open), E (secret hideout with a locked door east), UNLOCK DOOR (using skeleton key), E (small
bedroom), TAKE KNIFE, DROP KEY, W, W.
N, W, W, N, E, N, W, N (town square), E, E, S, E (end of side street where two men grab you and tie
you to a tree with rope before leaving), CUT ROPE WITH KNIFE (you free yourself), DROP KNIFE, TAKE
COUPON, W, N, E, E, E, S (clothing store), BUY SUIT (using coupon), INVENTORY (you automatically
wear the suit and the old rags vanish), N, W, N (attorney's office where a man greets you and
explains that you have come in time and you may collect your fortune).
