You have been imprisoned in a cell below a castle which once belonged to a handsome prince, but is now in the hands of the Gendi. Having stolen an implement from a serving tray, you've been steadily digging a hole into the next cell and hope that, somehow, you will be able to escape. Walk Through] (Start in a cell containing a pitch torch and a hole leading east through the wall), GET TORCH THEN EXAMINE IT, LIGHT TORCH, E (another dungeon cell where you see the body of a dead prisoner lying on the floor), EXAMINE BODY (lying face down), TURN BODY (find an iron key and parchment), GET IRON KEY THEN EXAMINE IT, GET PARCHMENT THEN READ IT (clues), TURN KEY (you exit to the torture chamber where you are told that the Dungeon Master notes your escape and will probably kill you now), GET POKER, KILL DUNGEON MASTER WITH POKER (he fades away in a cloud of green smoke), E (cell with a woman prisoner manacled to the wall), EXAMINE PRISONER (leave her), GET PENDANT THEN EXAMINE IT (has an inscription), READ PENDANT (clue), W, W (staircase), U, U, U, U, U (tower room), EXAMINE BANNER, EXAMINE CABINETTE (has an oddly shaped lock), UNLOCK CABINETTE WITH PENDANT, OPEN CABINETTE, LOOK IN CABINETTE (see a golden sword and a silver dagger), GET SWORD THEN EXAMINE IT, GET DAGGER THEN EXAMINE IT. D, D (long east/west hallway), E (gallery with a locked door), TURN KEY (you go through to a courtyard where you meet a guard), EXAMINE GUARD, KILL GUARD WITH SWORD, GET SWORD, EXAMINE PAINTING, N (barracks), W (woman's room), GET BOTTLE THEN EXAMINE IT, READ BOTTLE (river rose water), E, S, S, E (throne room), EXAMINE THRONE (made of solid marble), PUSH THRONE (reveals a hidden staircase covered in tapestries), EXAMINE TAPESTRIES, D (music room - remember the message on the parchment), GET FLUTE THEN EXAMINE IT, GET HARP THEN EXAMINE IT (leave the lyre), U, U (little landing where an old man rubs his hands up and down your thigh), EXAMINE MAN, KILL MAN WITH SWORD, GET SWORD, U (bulwark where an old maid berates you for tempting her husband on the stairs below), EXAMINE MAID, KILL MAID WITH DAGGER, GET DAGGER. E (guard room where there is a large lever attached to a rope), EXAMINE LEVER (for emergency use), PULL LEVER (an opening appears in the south wall and you walk through to a musty storage room), EXAMINE CHEST (there are noises coming from it), UNLOCK CHEST WITH PENDANT, OPEN CHEST, LOOK IN CHEST (a handsome prince is inside), EXAMINE PRINCE (he is hurt and can barely walk), GET PRINCE, N, W, W, D, W, W, N (open courtyard), TURN KEY (you go back through the door to a well lit gallery), E, W. D (staircase where the mirror is), EXAMINE MIRROR (see yourself), TOUCH MIRROR (you are pulled through... you are standing on a ledge inside a deep well), EXAMINE LAMP (note this can be turned to return to the staircase by the mirror), D, D (knee deep in flowing water), TURN BOTTLE (tipping a few drops into the river, the oily liquid flows up stream instead of down... you decide to follow it to the east), N (cave - note if you weren't carrying the prince you wouldn't be able to see here), E, E, S (an iron grill blocks progress), EXAMINE GRILL (bolted to the stone), PLAY FLUTE (you blow the flute, a magical sound is heard and the grill opens... you step through and the grill crashes down behind you... you have reached freedom and dash across the field towards the forest and escape.)
