Scenario
You are a space explorer in NASA's Elite Astronaut Corps. Your Star Probe has just decelerated
from hyperspeed. Your space navigator reports that you are now on the perimeter of the nebula
Orion. No other astronaut has ever travelled this far into deep space. You are eager to begin your
exploration of the planets in this Nebula.
Notes
1. Red Herrings - Animal Bones, Burnt Wood, Clay Pot, Arrow Heads, Toilet and Bunks.
2. Plants to collect - Orchid (Serapis), Subzero Plant (Amun) and Bush (Kneph).
3. Metals to collect - Argentum (Serapis), Aurum (Amun) and Ferrum (Kneph).
4. Animals to collect - Chimpanzee (Serapis), Whooper (Amun) and Tongi (Kneph).
5. Intelligent Life Form - Primitive Man (Serapis).
STAR PROBE
(Start at the command console of your Star Probe with your telecommunicator ringing), ANSWER
TELECOMMUNICATOR (you are ordered by NASA Control to explore the three closest planets and must
collects one animal, one plant and one metal from each planet. You must also bring back an
intelligent life form), EXAMINE COMPUTER, READ MESSAGE, EXAMINE storage RACK, GET DECODER unit, READ
INSTRUCTIONS for using the computer).
KNEPH (First Time)
GO KNEPH (you land and the door automatically opens... you step onto an extremely hot planet), N, E
(to base of volcano), EXAMINE SKELETON, GET KEY, READ DIARY, W (mine shaft), EXAMINE MONUMENT, READ
MESSAGE, S, S (box canyon), GET PUMICE (there was a rope underneath), DROP PUMICE, GET ROPE, N, GO
STAR probe.
AMUN (First Time)
GO AMUN (you land and the door automatically opens... you step onto a frozen planet), D (entrance to
underground living quarters), UNLOCK BOX (using the key from skeleton), DROP KEY, OPEN BOX, EXAMINE
BOX (you see a red button inside), PUSH BUTTON (the lights go on), E (storage room), GET SKIS, E
(kitchen), GET TIN, E (bathroom), GET MATCHES, W, S (sleeping dormitory), EXAMINE CONTAINER, OPEN
CONTAINER, LOOK, GET luminescent TUBE, EXAMINE TUBE, N, N (assay room), GET SPADE, S, W, W, PUSH
BUTTON, U (surface), W (must be carrying the skis), S (Hoth Glacier), GET block of ICE, N, N,

(underground living quarters), GET LADDER, W (must have light tube - to living area), GET CAN
opener, OPEN TIN, LOOK, DROP CAN opener, DROP empty TIN, GET MEAT, E, U, E, DIG BUSH, GET BUSH, W, N

SERAPIS (Second Time)
GO SERAPIS, S, E, S, S, E, S, W (grotto), GIVE MEAT (to primitive man who gives you the argentum),

RETURNING TO EARTH
GO EARTH (you head home and land at NASA Space Centre).
