(steep hill), GET OBJECT (it's a canteen), EXAMINE CANTEEN (empty), N, GET PAPER, READ PAPER
(it's a joke), N (you get nowhere), S, S, W, W, N, DROP PISTOL (flare), DROP PAPER, E (by
skeleton), GET BACKPACK, OPEN BACKPACK (two objects fall out), LOOK, DROP BACKPACK, GET JACKKNIFE, S
(by cactus), READ MANUAL, CUT CACTUS (your thirst is relieved for the moment), DROP KNIFE.

ground), DIG (you scoop out a small hole which quickly fills with sweet, fresh water), DRINK WATER,
FILL CANTEEN (note don't go east from here or you will be trapped by a flash flood), W, N, W,

N, GET BONE, GET EQUIPMENT (rock climbing equipment), W (base of cliff), DROP SHOVEL, DROP MANUAL,
GET PAPER, GET LANTERN, N, CLIMB UP (using the rock climbing equipment), W. S, EXAMINE PAINTING, N,
W (temple), EXAMINE SPIRIT, OPEN DOOR (the spirit won't let you), GIVE SKULL (the spirit
vanishes and a small metallic object strikes the floor), LOOK, GET KEY, OPEN DOOR, DROP KEY, W
(through the door - note you must have the lantern), READ INSCRIPTION, GET CLUB (it's far too
heavy), W (a giant is here), EXAMINE GIANT (he is searching for something), READ JOKE (the giant

(base of steep slope), READ MAP (the Lost Hooligan Mine is somewhere in this area), DROP MAP, GET
ROCK (you hear a rumble and a large opening appears), E (you have found the Lost Hooligan Mine and
you've struck it rich), DROP ROCK, GET ROPE, W, W.
ENDING 1
N (canyon floor where you hear a helicopter approaching), SIGNAL HELICOPTER (using flare gun... you
are picked up).
ENDING 2
N (canyon floor - ignore the helicopter), N, E (a landslide blocks your retreat), CLIMB OUT (using
rope), THROW SPEAR (you kill the rattlesnake), N, W, W (road), WAIT (a white car approaches - do you
want to get in it?), YES (you've hitched a ride with Carlos Casteneda and are on your way to a
strange mystical dimension).
ENDING 3
N (canon floor - ignore the helicopter), N, E (a landslide blocks your retreat), CLIMB OUT (using
the rope), THROW SPEAR (you kill the rattlesnake), N, W, W (road), WAIT (a white car approaches, do
you want to get in it?), NO, WAIT (a brown car pulls up, do you want a ride?), YES.
