Scenario
2045 and an ecological disaster rose from the growing fire of modern civilisation, the Earth's
population expanding to an un-supportable number, and fuelling a growing crisis that buried the once
fierce rivalries of its foremost nations as they devised a plan, a blue print for survival drawn up
by the scientists and thinkers and funded by the newly formed Four Nations (the USA the USSR, the
European Community and the Peoples Republic of China).  From its first conception the Plan had as
its goal the colonisation of Mars, a civilisation to be created there that would provide a haven for
the overspill of humans now without a future on Earth.

The Plan rolled into full operation quickly, factories producing such diverse goods as high-grade
steel, flexible plastics and indoor furnishings turning a percentage of their products over to the
Four Nations.  But soon the invoice had to be considered and this act lowered the Earth into a
deepening economic recession that threatened to destroy the Plan and lower the Earth back into its
despair.  This is the point that you step into the story, January 2062, a mere Citizen summoned,
overnight, to a Moon is crisis, rocked by bombings and intrigue that cast a dark sky over this
prospective paradise.

Notes
1. The card you are carrying is a keycard that will give you entry to most buildings. It also acts
as a timepiece and will give you the time when you examine it.
2. In part two the security guards change shifts and each shift wears a different coloured suit. If
you are caught in a walkway or in certain rooms in the wrong coloured suit you will be arrested and
the game will end.

Walk Through
PART ONE
DAY ONE
(Start walking along a plasti-pavement), N, W, N, N, EXAMINE ID CARD, INSERT CARD IN SLOT (a menial
worker escorts you to your accommodation), PUSH GREEN PAD (on the vid-screen - Security Officer
Thompson welcomes you to Moon-Base and tells you to meet him in park 4 tomorrow at 10.00 am), WAIT
(until curfew at 10.00 pm and your ID card flashes red), W (sleep room where you sleep until morning
- the ID card is flashing green, which means someone is calling you on the vid-screen), PUSH GREEN
PAD (Mineral-Miner Avenson welcomes you and says to meet him in bar 2 in the industrial dome at
11.00 am he needs your help)

DAY TWO
INSERT CARD IN SLOT (you leave) E, E, E, E, E, E, E (park 4), WAIT (until 10.00 am when you hear
about an explosion in park 7 and Security Officer Thompson arrives), ASK THOMPSON ABOUT BOMB (he
tells you it was a terrorist device planted by the mining group), ASK THOMPSON ABOUT MINING GROUP
(he says they are terrorists), ASK THOMPSON ABOUT AVENSON (he is a security risk and is being
watched), NW, NW, NW, NW (entrance to the inter-shuttle), INSERT CARD IN SLOT (a voice asks
"Destination"), INDUSTRIAL DOME (after a short pause you arrive), S, S, S, S, S, S, W,
INSERT CARD IN SLOT (you enter bar 2), WAIT (until 11.00 am when Avenson arrives), ASK AVENSON ABOUT
MINING GROUP (he says "We are a peaceful organisation"), WAIT (until Avenson is arrested
for the bomb attack), INSERT CARD IN SLOT (you are back outside), E, N, N, N, N, N, N, INSERT CARD
IN SLOT (you enter the inter-shuttle - "Destination?"), CLERICAL DOME, S, S, S.

E, WAIT (until 12.00 pm when it's time to start work), INSERT CARD IN SLOT (you enter clerical
office 5 where a stranger tells you to go to recreation zone 8 in the industrial dome tomorrow at
10.30 am), SIT AT CONSOLE (your day passes at work... you are back outside), W, W, W, S, S, INSERT
CARD IN SLOT (you enter your accommodation), WAIT (until curfew at 10.00 pm), W (you sleep until
morning).

DAY THREE
INSERT CARD IN SLOT (you are outside), W, S, INSERT CARD IN SLOT (you enter vid-room 2), WEAR MASK
(you see a new civilisation created), INSERT CARD IN SLOT, N, N, N, W, W, NE, NE (clerical dome),

(recreation zone 8), WAIT (until 10.30 when a group of strangers give you something to take to their
leaders before being arrested by security), INVENTORY (it was a vid-tape), E, INSERT CARD IN SLOT
(you enter vid-room 1), WEAR MASK (you see workmen), INSERT CARD IN SLOT (you are outside), E, E, E,
E, N, N, N, N, N, N (industrial dome), INSERT CARD IN SLOT ("destination?"), CLERICAL

leave), W, W, W, N, N (manhole), INSERT VIDTAPE IN VIDPLAYER, GIVE VIDPLAYER TO ROBOT, DROP ROBOT,
N, N, E, WAIT (until 12.00 pm), INSERT CARD IN SLOT (you enter clerical office 5), SIT AT CONSOLE
(you pass the day at work then leave), W, S, S (manhole), W, W, INSERT CARD IN SLOT (you enter your
accommodation), WAIT (until 10.00 pm curfew), SAY REMOTE UNIT (this activates the robot remote
control... you are asked "Display?"), SAY VIDSCREEN (you are now controlling the task-bot
by remote control), D (waste tunnel), W, W (you meet a group of political leaders), GIVE VIDPLAYER
(you are told to wait outside restaurant 2 in the clerical dome at 3.00 pm tomorrow), E, E, U (back
to pavement).

DAY FOUR
WAIT (until you sleep.... in the morning you are arrested and interrogated using a truth drug... you
then sleep again and go to your meeting later in the afternoon... you go back to the waste tunnel
where your companion gives you a security-card just before the security-troops descend on your
companion and drag him away... you escape through a crack in the wall and receive the password STILL
WATERS for part two.

PART TWO
SHIFT ONE
(After climbing through the crack you find yourself in an airlock which is starting to decompress),
PRESS GREEN PAD, TYPE 632 (at the keypad to open the door... you exit to a walkway where you should
note the colour of the security guards' suit), SE, INSERT CARD IN SLOT (you enter the security
store), EXAMINE BOXES, EXAMINE LARGE BOXES, GET GREEN SUIT, EXAMINE SMALL BOXES, GET CANISTER (gas),
REMOVE CLOTHES, WEAR GREEN SUIT, INSERT CARD IN SLOT (you leave), NE, NW (a box is here hanging by a
thread which is in fact a lift), OPEN DOOR, IN, CLOSE DOOR, PRESS FIRST PAD, OUT (lower level -
Launch & Control), EXAMINE SHUTTLE (note the recess), OPEN COCKPIT DOOR, STARBOARD (you enter
the shuttle), EXAMINE PANEL, PRESS GREEN PAD (a small slot opens and a disk slips out into your
hand), EXAMINE DISK (by now the guard should have appeared and dragged you off the shuttle... if he
hasn't go PORT to leave the shuttle).

IN (lift), CLOSE DOOR, PRESS SECOND PAD (mid level - Research), OUT, SE, SW, SW, SW, INSERT CARD IN
SLOT (you enter Intelligence 1), GET AUDIO RECORDER, EXAMINE AUDIO RECORDER, INSERT CARD IN SLOT
(you're asked which one), MACHINE (the machine asks "Moon-Base" or
"Rocket-Base"), ROCKET BASE ("Specify target group"), MAINTENANCE CREW (this
gets rid of the maintenance crew on the shuttle and allows you to get the cutter from the
tool-transport), INSERT CARD IN SLOT (you're asked which one), DOOR (you exit to the walkway),
SE, NE, NE, INSERT CARD IN SLOT (you enter the security store), GET YELLOW SUIT, GET RED SUIT,
REMOVE GREEN SUIT, DROP GREEN SUIT, EXAMINE CARD (until at 4.29 when the guards change shift), WEAR
RED SUIT (to match the guards).

SHIFT TWO
INSERT CARD IN SLOT (you leave), SW, SW, SW, NW, NW, NW, INSERT CARD IN SLOT (you enter laboratory
5), SIT AT CONSOLE, PRESS GREEN PAD (you are prompted for a password), CIRCLE (you are asked if you
want to save to disk), YES, INSERT DISK, STAND UP, INSERT CARD IN SLOT (you leave), NE, NE, NE, SE,
IN (lift), CLOSE DOOR, PRESS THIRD PAD, OUT, NW, NW, INSERT CARD IN SLOT (you enter scientist-accom
4), GET COAT (white), INSERT CARD IN SLOT (you leave), NE, SE, SE, SE, SW, SW, SW, INSERT CARD IN
SLOT (you enter the maintenance room), U (air-vent), D, SE (you are above laboratory 8) SAY RECORD
(you activate the recorder), SQUEEZE CANISTER, SW, N (you are in the air vent and the guard will be
changing again soon so...), REMOVE RED SUIT, WEAR YELLOW SUIT, EXAMINE CARD (until 5.29 when the
guard changes), N (back to maintenance room - the guard is now wearing red suits), INSERT CARD IN
SLOT (you leave).

SHIFT THREE
SE, NE, NE, NE, NW, IN (lift), CLOSE DOOR, PRESS FIRST PAD (to lower level), OUT (launch bay), S
(work centre), EXAMINE TABLE (you see an oily component), GET COMPONENT (your hand is forced back by
an electric voltage), SAY PLAYBACK (this activates the recorder and water streams out from the
ceiling, shorting out the field protecting the component), GET COMPONENT, EXAMINE COMPONENT, N,
INSERT COMPONENT IN RECESS (the one you saw on the shuttle earlier), EXAMINE TRANSPORT, GET CUTTER
(cable), IN (lift), CLOSE DOOR, PRESS SECOND PAD (mid level), OUT, SE, INSERT CARD IN SLOT (you
enter airlock 1 and are asked if you want to decompress), NO, DROP CUTTER.

GET SPACESUIT, EXAMINE SPACESUIT, WEAR SPACESUIT, GET CUTTER, EXAMINE CUTTER, PRESS RED PAD
(decompressing), PRESS RED PAD (again - you enter the surface of the planet by an overhanging
crater), NW (plateau), CUT CABLE, S, W (airlock - you are asked if you want to decompress), NO,
REMOVE SPACESUIT, DROP SPACESUIT, PRESS GREEN PAD, TYPE 632 (you enter the walkway), NW, IN (lift),
CLOSE DOOR, PRESS FIRST PAD (lower level), REMOVE YELLOW SUIT, WEAR COAT (white), OUT, STARBOARD
(you enter the shuttle), INSERT DISK (the shuttle launches... you are now safely on your way back to
earth).
