Once upon a time, there was a Clockwork Boy who had brought the king and queen of his country great happiness after many years of sadness. He was known throughout the land for the great courage and kindness within his little heart of silver curb pins and coiled glass tubes an alchemic wonder constructed by the queen herself.
Life had come back to the castle and the country, and all was well. The queen continued to refine the mechanical wonder that was the boy; Days upon days she spent, squinting in the candlelight over complicated diagrams, tuning and twiddling the mechanics of his arms and legs while the boy sat patiently, half disassembled yet feeling complete.
Her latest endeavor was teaching him to draw; And so we find you, the Clockwork Boy, on one lazy day, in your drawing room, the brass covers of your arms soldered once more with new skills embedded in the pistons and connecting rods hidden therein.
