Synopsis

Plot

Your name is Little Jack Horner, except that you're not so little any more. You are woken early one morning by your next-door neighbour, Peter the pumpkin eater. He tells you that Mother Goose has been kidnapped. Mother Goose is your other next door neighbour and a very good friend, so you see it as your duty to rescue her.

Explore your local town and interact with all the other nursery rhyme characters to try and find out who kidnapped Mother Goose, then set out to rescue her.

This was an entry in Text Adventure Literacy Jam 2024, where it placed 1st out of 10 entries. It can be played online or downloaded at itch.io.

This game is inspired by the more popular of the old English, Scottish and Welsh nursery rhymes that are commonly attributed to Mother Goose. The game is littered with references to these nursery rhymes, except that all the characters in them are now adults and we learn what happened to them now that they are all grown up.
