Synopsis

Plot

The Overlords of the Universe have a vacancy for one Master of Eternity. As a candidate you must pass a small test of ability. Of course, failure means death!

To begin with, you find yourself on a starship. On the surface, your objective is fairly straightforward, to operate a disused teleportal booth, and thereby return to the Chamber of Creation. However, the Overlords must be absolutely sure of your logic, endurance, courage and determination. So the teleportal booth is 2000 light years away, on one of the most hostile planets in the Universe. Oh, and by the way, the starship doesn't work either.

Notes

Appears to have been originally designed for the Atari; where it was released by both Argus Press' Mind Games and Bug Byte. It was included on the Atari/Bug Byte "Compilation C".

Also advertised for C64, but that version doesn't seem to have been released.

The Spectrum version is listed as being "converted" by Stan Fullman.

Surprisingly OK for an 8-bit BASIC game from this era. I have not checked the Atari version, but the Spectrum one has a few bugs, none too serious. The design is fine, though rather on the difficult side due to a general lack of situational clues. I only got seriously stuck once (trying to light the orb) and that was more due to my doing things "out of order", so to say.
