Unsurprisingly. for a type in game, this is a simple little game featuring just 15 locations. For all that it is a fun little play as you find yourself trapped in a city and must find the way and equipment to escape.
How people go about their business in a city with no gates and just a cinema, bank and shop I have no idea! Apparently the city is on sea cliff, so be mindful when choosing your escape route. It's also full of thieves and cutthroats apparently, but I never stumbled across any.
Anyway, it's well enough put together and a pleasing little game to solve. It's not going to take up too much time either.
This was my first ZX81 adventure (I'm branching out!) I played this on the EightyOne emulator and had to speed it up a little to prevent frustration.
Parser/Vocabulary (Rating: 5/10)
Very simple but functional.
Atmosphere (Rating: 5/10)
Some nice little descriptions, not bad for a tiny basic game.
Cruelty (Rating: Polite)
Very difficult to die, unless you choose the wrong route. Apparently you can get robbed and catch plague, but I never experienced this.
Puzzles (Rating: 4/10)
Nice enough but very simple.
Overall (Rating: 5/10)
If you fancy a bit of adventuring history and have a spare hour it is worth a shot.
