CASA - site FAQ

Latest update: 22.11.2018

What is this site about?

Adventure games! CASA features solutions and other documents as well as information about the games. In a small number of cases games are available for download, these are bugfixed versions of games which otherwise cannot be completed due to bugs. Other than that, there are no downloadable games on this site.

OK. Where can I download the games, then?

In lots of places, but not here. CASA is all about information. You might find what you're looking for in the links section of each game page.

Do I have to register?

For basic browsing, no. But if you wish to use all features, ie. to add info, rate or comment on games or upload files, then yes, you should definitely register.
Note that your username works on the main site as well as in the forum.

I forgot my password for the site!

Click here to receive a new password by email. Then follow the instructions. Your login works on the main site as well as in the forum.

So how can I help, anyway?

Simple! Upload solutions, maps, hints, reviews, screenshots and similar files, and help correct erroneous or missing info.

How do I upload files?

- If the game is already in the database: search or browse for the game, then click the "Upload file" link to submit your file.
- If the game isn't in the database yet: in the Site menu, click the "Submit contents" link. Add any info you have and submit your file.
- In either case: an admin will look at your files before they're placed online.

How do I submit info?

- If the game is already in the database: search or browse for the game, then click the "Send update" button. On the next screen, you can add new info or remove existing info if you know it to be wrong.
- If the game isn't in the database yet: in the Site menu, click the "Submit contents" link. Please add whatever info you have there.
- In either case: as above, an admin will look at your information before it is added to the database. We strive to have as accurate data as possible. If you're uncertain about a piece of info, please make a note of it and we will try to confirm it elsewhere. Comments added in this way are only seen by the admins.

Hey! Game X is available for platform Y. How come you don't list it?

We only list official versions. Ie. if someone hacked the C64 code for some game and made it run on the Oric, we won't list the Oric because the game wasn't intended to run on it. Unofficial version might get a mention in the Notes section of the game entry.
Of course, we're wrong on lots of occasions so feel free to submit info if you know something that we don't.

How do the genres work?

The genre tags represent the users' best bet as to what type a game is. Hence there isn't a ultimate, definitive list. The tags are either thematic (medieval, spy story, horror etc.) or game engine related (real time game, multiple choice input).
