THE CURSE.

From the start on a woodland pathway:
S, S, EXAMINE PLANTS, TAKE MINT, N, N, E, E, E, TAKE BONE, W, W, W, (the smell
of mint deters the insects), S, S, E, (you meet a wolfhound), DROP BONE, E, N,
E, E, S, (you now sleep and awaken later beside an open Sarcophagus), U, (you
realise you are now a ghost!!), EXAMINE SARCOPHAGUS, (you gradually return to
your substantial form, and hear the fortune teller say "By the power of the
crystal you were called to this world by me. Find the path to the valley of the
dead, and break the spell of the priest who trapped me here. Your life and mine
are bound forever" - you pick up a clay tablet and are now standing at the
sealed north entrance to a pyramid). S, W, S, E, E, E, N, W, TAKE ROBE, WEAR
ROBE, E, S, EXAMINE BOX, (you obtain a small key), W, EXAMINE GARDEN, TAKE
EARTH, WEAR EARTH, (you are now wearing the 'Dust of the Earth'). W, EXAMINE
CAGE, (it is locked and something gleams within), UNLOCK CAGE, EXAMINE CAGE,
TAKE MASK, WEAR MASK, W, N, E, N, E, E, TAKE EAGLE, W, W, S, W, S, E, S, (you
land in a river - the current gradually lifts you to a grassy ledge), W, (you
have now climbed onto the eagle and it flies you to the avenue of statues), W,
W, W, W, S, S, E, TAKE FLAKES, W, N, E, (the flakes of stone turn to sand), W,
N, U, E, (you now see a 'living statue' holding a dagger), THROW SAND, (the
giant statue decays to dust), TAKE DAGGER, W, E, HIT TREE, (you cause some sap
to flow), TAKE SAP, U, S, E, DROP SAP, (it attracts all the insects), E, ENTER
FLAME, (it is the temple's Flame of Immortality - you are transported to a
woodland area), E, E, N, (you can hear the sound of a flute), E, KILL KITTEN,
(you now loose your Immortality), W, S, E, ENTER MOUND, E, E, (you fall amongst
the Lords of the graves - by a Maze!!). E, EXAMINE WALL, (you must now journey
around the maze until you find some Buds, continue going East, EXAMINE PLANT,
each time until the buds are found). TAKE BUDS, (the strong buds are full of new
life. The momentary possession of that power makes you shudder and you drop the
buds), TAKE BUDS, (the strong buds rest in the palm of your hand unchanged. In
this world of the dead the plant is the only living thing, and it's power of
life now begins to enter you.
