Travelling
By Christian Gusenbauer
For Bunyon interpeter or TI-99/4A with Scott Adams' Adventure cartridge

Solution by Garry Francis
----------------------------------------
This is a minimal solution to a very hard game. You'll need to EXAMINE or LOOK at lots of
things for this solution to make sense. There are lots of guess-the-verb, guess-the-noun and even
guess-the-pronoun scenarios. Expect to use a lot of trial and error and get killed a lot.

Some optional (but significant) commands are shown in brackets. You can omit these once you know
what to do.

LOOK SEAT (you find a heavy key)
GET KEY
E
UNLOCK HATCH (with key)
GO HATCH
GET PARACHUTE
WEAR PARACHUTE
U
W
OPEN DOOR (you can do it now that you've got the parachute)
GO DOOR (jet crashes now or shortly afterwards)
PULL LINE (I know it's invisible and normally called a rip cord, but...)
LAND (obvious, huh?)
DROP PARACHUTE
LOOK PUMPS (you find a full battery)
GET BATTERY
GO STATION (door slams shut behind you, so you can't get out)
(MOVE REFRIGERATOR) (you find some drawings)
(READ DRAWINGS) (beware the revenue authorities, huh?)
OPEN REFRIGERATOR
LOOK REFRIGERATOR (you find an unlit lamp and buttons)
GET LAMP
GET BUTTONS
(LOOK TELEPHONE) (something's written on it)
(READ TELEPHONE) (put in correct coins, then dial)
(HELP) (Orwell? George Orwell? 1984? 1948 perhaps?)
(HELP DIAL) (who'd've thought of this, anyway it says to try "PUT IN")
PUT IN (you insert buttons and get a "ringing tone", actually a dial tone)
DIAL 194 (they'll send somebody)
LIFT CASH (you find sheets with confusing letters and numbers)
GET SHEETS
W
GET SUIT
E
GO FIRE
GO CHIMNEY (it's too dark to see)
LIGHT LAMP (you see a console)
(LOOK CONSOLE) (it looks like a computer with many buttons)
SWITCH ON (don't you love it when you have to use a pronoun as a noun?)
PRO CONSOLE (no idea what the verb is, but you hear loud machinery)
D
UNLIGHT LAMP
W (armor-door is now open, that explains the loud machinery)
GO DOOR (there's a helicopter waiting for you)
GO HELICOPTER
(LOOK CONSOLE) (you see fittings, levers, lamp socket and find a note)
(LOOK FITTINGS) (you see a speedo, altimeter and radio set)
(LOOK LEVERS) (you see red, green and black levers)
(READ NOTE) (instructions on how to take off and land)
LOOK OUT (you see a little closed hatch)
OPEN HATCH
(LOOK HATCH) (it has a plug connection)
PLUG IN (battery is now plugged in)
TWIST LAMP (lamp is now screwed in)
SWITCH BLACK (machinery starts)
LIFT OFF (radio warns you that there's a bomb aboard)
SWITCH GREEN (seat opens to reveal small hole)
THROW KEY (remember the sign in the chimney? key drops through the hole)
DROP SUIT (so you can fit through the hole)
DROP SHEETS (ditto)
SWITCH RED
GO HOLE (it's dark and you hear a terrible noise)
FEEL HOLE (you feel something like a big Emmentaler cheese)
SWITCH BUTTON (good guess, it turnes light on to reveal the bomb)
(LOOK BOMB) (it has blue and yellow buttons and sign "To err is human" in Latin)
SWITCH YELLOW (by a process of elimination)
GO HOLE (radio suggests that you need further help, don't know why)
PUT DOWN
GET SUIT
GET SHEETS
GET BATTERY
GO OUT
GO BUSHES
S
E
E
(LOOK VOLCANO) (you see a lake)
GO LAKE (unseen bridge breaks, so you can't go back)
WEAR SUIT
DIVE
SWITCH ON (becomes working console)
PRO CONSOLE (it worked once before, so try again and algae vanishes)
GET CHEST (yep, the one from the jet that you couldn't carry, but now you can)
SWIM GROTTO (boulder fell down to block your escape, it's one of those days)
(LOOK DRAWING) (you see man making sacrifice)
PRAY (loud thunder, water vanished and you're free)
***THE END***
