Plant, The (plant.txt)

This is a walkthrough for "The Plant."  This file is in TADS command-file
format, so you can use this file directly as input to the game by typing
an at sign ("@") followed by the name of this file ("@walkthru.txt") at
the game command prompt.

Each line starting with a ">" is a command.  Everything else is a comment.
This probably isn't the most direct route through the game, but it's
reasonably efficient, and there are no time limits within the game
anyway.

At the beginning, we're in the car.  The only really important thing here
is the garage door opener in the glove box, but you may want to look at
the stuff in the back seat and ask Mr. Teeterwaller about it.

Next we need to go get the language instruction book.  While we're there,
get the air pump as well.

You'll probably want to read through the book at this point.  Pay
particular attention to the part on the dog, the verb list, the
verb conjugation table (particularly for commands - second-person
singular), and also the bit on reverse psychology.  Go pacify the
dog.

Now we can open the garage and go inside.

Get everything here.  The things we particularly want are the stack
of cards and the scanner.  The cards aren't useful until we sort them
by price, which is the second column (0 = first column, 1 = second
column, etc).

Now we know a little about the plant.  Let's go get inside.  First,
we'll need a flashlight.

Okay, let's go open up the ditch.  To do this, we need to read the
bar code on the gate, then figure out what bar code it corresponds
to.  Fortunately, we have the handy deck, sorted by price, to consult.

Now we can just set the garage door opener to transmit the appropriate

We need to open the door on the west side.  To do this, we need to access
it from outside, which we can do from the roof.

but you should open the drawer a bunch of times to get some more
of the story.

At this point, we can reach one of the possible endings.
The best is to electrify the disk with the lightning, but
we can also throw the disk off the roof, or take the man up
on his offer and just give him the disk.
