Walk Through by Dorothy Millard (PC Version)
Scenario
A treasure map belonging to your ancestor was removed from your safe and being a Super Sleuth...
ha.... ha... you will get it back.
Walk Through
(Start by a side gate outside Smedley Jones' who is a shady person!), OPEN GATE (locked), E (by
mailbox), OPEN MAILBOX, GET KEY, W (by side gate), USE KEY (you unlock the gate and it swings open),
N (you go a few metres inside the gate and trip over a bush... you hear something fall), FEEL GROUND
(you find a torch), LIGHT TORCH (you are on a path leading east), E (to outside garden shed), LOOK
AROUND (see a ladder), GET LADDER, N (the batteries in the
torch give out but the moon breaks from behind clouds - you are standing under a tree), DROP LADDER,
CLIMB LADDER (you are standing on a tree branch), LOOK TREE (it looks as good as the ladder), CLIMB
TREE (to a moonlit balcony), OPEN DOOR (locked - there is no way in), D, D, S (by shed where you now
see that the door is closed - note you must have climbed the balcony first), OPEN DOOR, ENTER SHED
(see a door), OPEN DOOR (behind it was a small key which you take), W (Oh No! You've woken the
dog who isn't happy).
N, CLIMB LADDER, CLIMB TREE (back to the moonlit balcony), USE KEY (which one?), SMALL (you slide
the door open - note the drapes), ENTER HOUSE (it's dark inside), OPEN DRAPES (see a desk),
OPEN DRAWER, LOOK DRAWER (see two batteries), GET BATTERIES (they fit into the torch, but do they
work?), LIGHT TORCH (yes they do!), LOOK DRAWER (see a note), GET NOTE, READ NOTE (it says
"Dear Smedley, Have fixed the safe but not the balcony door. P.S. If it doesn't open ring
357807 after 5.30"), CLOSE DRAWER (as the drawer closes the desk slides into the wall and a
draught comes through as the balcony door opens -you now see a safe to crack), OPEN SAFE (it's
a combination lock - your numbers please), 530357807 (it's open and you see the map), GET MAP,
S (back to balcony), D, D (standing under tree), S, W (to path), W (you are outside the gate but the
dog is coming), CLOSE GATE.
You've done it
You got the map and you are home free.
