MEMORY Written by Michael DeLisio Walk Through by Dorothy Millard (C64 Version) Notes 1) There is a time limit of 100 moves before the game ends. 2) There are a number of things you can do in the game but not within the time limit and finish. They include: a) In the card shop - EXAMINE PAPERBACKS, BUY BOOK. b) In the coffee shop - SIT (you are handed a menu), EXAMINE MAN (fat). c) If you have the fire extinguisher from the hospital corridor you can ENTER the pizza parlour, BUY PIZZA (the place catches fire), EXAMINE FIRE (extinguisher), REMOVE PIN, AIM NOZZLE, PULL LEVER (you put out the fire and are offered free pizza). d) When on the bus you can WAIT instead of getting off outside the theatre and continue to Macy's, GET OFF, ENTER (front entrance), U (escalator), E (sporting goods department), BUY KNIFE, D (back to front entrance), EXIT, GET BUS (back to bus stop near the hospital). Walk Through (Start tied down in a hospital bedroom), GET REMOTE (control), PRESS REMOTE (the TV comes on... the police are searching for a madman), PRESS BUZZER (a nurse enters and you are told you had a nasty bump on the head and are going to have problems with your memory... she removes the straps), E (bathroom), W (back to your room), SW (the closet is closed), OPEN CLOSET (you find some clothes and put them on), EXAMINE CLOTHES (find a wallet and a key in the pants), EXAMINE WALLET (the driver's licence says Michael Anthony... there's a small amount of cash and a credit card), EXAMINE LICENCE (note the address), E (back to hospital bedroom), N, W, N (kitchen), EXAMINE COOK (he is strangely familiar... he calls a nurse who escorts you back to your room). N, E (elevator), PRESS B (to basement), N, E (Dr. Madison's office), READ PAPERS (apparently Davis was knifed in the heart), W, W (mortuary), TALK JANITOR (he won't let you near the lockers), E, S (elevator), PRESS L (lobby), E (past the guards), E (newsstand), BUY NEWSPAPER, W, N (bus stop), GET BUS (it stops outside a movie theatre), GET OFF (you are at the ticket window), BUY TICKET, WAIT (it's an old silent film), WAIT (until it's over and the lights come on), WAIT (until you leave), N (you're at the bus stop), GET BUS (you ride back to the bus stop near the hospital), S, S (subway entrance), W, GET TRAIN (you buy a ticket from the conductor), EXAMINE TICKET (punched for Katonah), WAIT (until the train stops at Katonah), GET OFF. EXAMINE PHONE (you notice a yellow sticker), EXAMINE STICKER (Paul's Taxi Service), CALL TAXI, WAIT (until the cab arrives), GET CAB (he asks where to), 222 Elm Street (you are in front of a small yellow house), USE KEY (you enter), S (kitchen), N (back to living room), EXAMINE PHOTOS (they show you playing the piano), EXAMINE PIANO, PLAY PIANO, E (hallway), N, S, W (a woman enters), TALK WOMAN (she calls the police), WAIT (until the police arrest you for the murder of Tony Davis... the woman says she will call a lawyer), WAIT (until you arrive at the police station and are taken to an office to meet with your lawyer), WAIT (until your lawyer arrives and tells you he has arranged for a hypnotist to help you), WAIT (until you are hypnotised and find yourself back in your hospital room), PRESS BUZZER, N, W, N (kitchen - you remember the cook was in your room last night), TALK COOK (he confesses), WAKE (you awake in the small office at the police station... you tell them of your conversation with the cook).
