PRAY at the various altars for random help messages. 3. When you are told you are hungry just EAT FOOD. Walk Through (Start under the ship), E (captain's cabin), EXAMINE DESK, OPEN DRAWER, GET KEY, W, W (galley - as you enter you hear a snap - it's in fact the captain's cabin door, so make sure you go there first), GET FOOD, E, U (the ladder - it crashes to the floor but you are on the ship's deck - don't go west to the stern unless you want to walk the plank), E (bow of ship), GET SWORD, W, S (you are safe back on land), SE (the pirates are close behind and you are in a dead end), EXAMINE PANEL (contains four buttons - note if you push the red one you are killed by poisonous gas), PUSH BLUE BUTTON (a barrier kills the Vikings chasing you), PUSH ORANGE BUTTON (a holographic image appears - note the name Sif, Goddess of War), PUSH GREEN BUTTON (for the author's message), GET LAMP, NW. S (into a cave), E, EXAMINE PAINTING (shows a man underwater waving a black wand or staff with one of his hands glowing), SW (into another cave), EXAMINE PAINTING (shows a man with a glowing hand touching a crystal in a dimly lit room carrying a sword), LOOK UP (a painting on the ceiling depicts a gold man battling a gold dragon), UNLOCK DOOR, DROP KEY, SE (it's dark), LIGHT LAMP (you are in a gold room - leave the trinkets as you don't need them), GET STATUE (you can't this way), EXAMINE STATUE, E (to Freyshrine), EXAMINE ALTAR (there is a basket beside it), EXAMINE BASKET (it's empty), E (long hallway), EXAMINE PAINTING (you find an onyx ring at his feet), GET RING, EXAMINE RING, WEAR RING. NE (to Friggashrine), EXAMINE ALTAR (behind the altar you see a rose quartz stick), EXAMINE BASKET (it contains two flasks - one shaped like a dragon and one like a warrior), GET FLASK (Viking), GET DRAGON (flask), N (you are at the rim of a pool), JUMP (you are underwater), D (to another room lit by crystals), EXAMINE SHELF (the bookshelf holds two books), GET BLUE (book), READ BLUE (book - reveals a small mother-of-pearl statuette), GET BIRD, EXAMINE BIRD (it's a raven), DROP BLUE (book), GET BLACK (book), READ BLACK (book - a spell). NE (to Helshrine), EXAMINE ALTAR (there is a black button in the side), PUSH BUTTON (there is a small click and a panel slides back revealing an onyx rose and in the distance you hear rumbling), GET ROSE, EXAMINE ROSE (the crystals are glowing). E (to Lokishrine), GIVE ONYX (rose - it disappears and is replaced by an onyx staff), GET STAFF, EXAMINE STAFF, S, S (dragon room), CALL STATUE (the black book is gone and the statue appears), POUR FLASK (you dump the contents of the Viking flask on the statue and it comes to life... the warrior attacks the dragon... he thanks you for restoring his freedom and gives you a quartz rose... the dragon is gone but the stairwell has collapsed). SW (to Friggashrine), GET LAMP, GIVE QUARTZ (rose - you hear a loud crash and a door opens behind the altar - you head down the passage to Odinshrine), GIVE RAVEN (it disappears as you put it in the basket and the room begins to shake... you see a large glowing crystal), EXAMINE CRYSTAL (the glow originates from a small object in the centre), TOUCH GLOW (the light becomes blinding... the crystal is now dark and there is a glowing glove at your feet), GET GLOVE, WEAR GLOVE, W. N, JUMP (you are underwater), WAVE STAFF (the staff slips from your grasp as you pass through the bars into the room beyond), EXAMINE CRYSTAL (glowing), PRY LEAVES (must be wearing the gloves and carrying the sword - as you do this you notice the centre crystal glows brighter), TOUCH GLOW (you are transported to a misty room), KISS SIF (her eyes open and she thanks you for rescuing her before turning you to gold).
