whose office is located in Picadilly Circus), Examine imports (all inks coming 
from China are imported by Dihn Imports, located in Limehouse), Go door, D, 
Left, Examine rack, Go front, Left, Go cab, Picadilly (sic! that’s how the 
programmer spelled it) Circus, Enter Imperial Paper, Examine files (clue leads 
to the Savoy Hotel), Exit, Left, Left, Examine sofa, Examine hat (it’s 
Watson’s), Examine desk, Payoff clerk (Watson is supposed to be in room 213),

clues in the form of directions: “store room, wine rack, left, left, right”),

Note: I don’t know if this is a bug or intentional, but what you are supposed 
to do next never seems to work the first time you enter the pub. You are 
supposed to go to the rear room, which is a storeroom, but it keeps sending you 
to the ladies room! So do this:

Go out (you are back on the streets), Enter Brown Derby, Go rear

If it doesn’t work the second time, keep trying this until it lets you in the 
storeroom.

Examine rack, Push rack, D, Examine sewer (remember those cryptic directions on 
the matchbook?), Left, Left, Right, Insert key, Shoot (Moriarty manages to 
avoid getting hit, shoots back, misses you as well, then escapes; there does 
not seem to be a way to avoid this ending), Jump trap door (you free Watson)
