The Adventure Definition Language (ADL) by Tim Brengle and Ross Cunniff. Tim wrote a CP/M version and Ross a portable C version. ADL is a programming language and run-time environment designed for the convenient implementation of Adventure-like games. It was derived from the earlier system DDL.
Not to be confused with the ADL (Adventure Description Language).
