Synopsis

Plot

The game starts on the street near your house. There's a taxi waiting, but you don't have any money to pay the fare. Your car is nearby, but you get blown up if you try to enter it. What's going on?

Your house is also nearby. If you explore your house, you'll discover that Eddie Lightfinger has just been released from gaol. In your job as a store detective, you were the one who was responsible for his arrest and incarceration for shoplifting ten years ago. He is now out for revenge and has set a number of bombs in the department store. It is up to you to find and disarm the bombs.

Notes

This was published by Data Becker as a BASIC type-in listing in Data Welt, no. 2, 1984, pp. 56-58, 60, 62-65, 68-84. The original article included three interspersed listings for the Schneider CPC 464 (which is the German equivalent of the Amstrad CPC 464), Atari 800XL and Commodore 64. There were numerous errors in the listings.

Some corrections for the Atari 8-bit version were printed in Data Welt, no. 3, 1984, p. 144. This attributed some of the corrections to Martin Bolus, who then went on to plagiarise the game and declare himself as the author. This version is fairly close to the original, except that strings have been converted to lower case and user-defined characters are used for ä, ö, ü and ß. However, he has not fixed most of the bugs and introduced a couple of new bugs that weren't in the original.

An unofficial port exists for the Commodore 16.
