A demonstration of adventure programming in BASIC. Collect the treasures and return with them to the starting location.
This was originally published as a type-in game in the 1982 book Over the Spectrum. It was later made available on tape. Unlike many of the other programs in the book, the author of the adventure itself is not listed but the book was edited by Philip Williams.
The book and adventure were translated into Dutch and Italian.
Jacqueline Wright seems to have used this adventure as the basis for her game Hells Bells.

Not a version of the original Adventure, and in fact not a good game in any way.
I kind of enjoyed it when I got past the desert. I will try and post a map shortly.
This was one of the first adventures I played, if not the first, so it has nostalgia value for me. The BASIC source used particularly inefficient ways to deal with some program logic, but it was supposed to be didactic and teach how to write a text adventure.
A good little game. Not the best, not the worst. I appreciate it.
