Synopsis

Plot

You wake up on an island beach, with no memory of who you are.
Getting off the beach is only the beginning of a dangerous journey, which will lead you on the trail of the people who tried to kill you.

Notes

Inspired by the Robert Ludlum novel The Bourne Identity.

The game features an interactive tutorial which is aimed at players new to adventure games.

The later ('85/'86) versions of the game, such as those for the Macintosh, Atari ST and Amiga, feature an additional input system (with a clickable word list) and revised graphics.

The solution by Gunness has an error (it doesn't mention taking the hat from the man in the alley). I just uploaded the correct solution.

Thanks - I have updated the solution and added more comments to it, too.

Great game, by the way - the puzzles are simple but the atmosphere is quite well done.

Just finished the CPC version of the game. It was a great port. Highly recommended!

The amnesiac plot device exceeds the range of the implementation, but the game is nicely segmented, friendly to the player, and reveals the story gradually. I'm not convinced by the THINK mechanism, though at least it tries hard to solve an exposition problem and feels original. The main drawback with the game is being too easy (even if it doesn't fully respect the Bill of Rights). Beginners are likely to enjoy unwinding the plot.
