23rd place (out of 28) in the 18th Annual Interactive Fiction Competition.
Apparently this 2012 Inform 7 game was based on a Visual Basic 6 adventure that the author wrote in 2002 but never released to the public. A second, revised version of the Inform was released in response to feedback from IF Comp 2012.

This is a pretty good Inform update of an older game from a decade earlier. For such a large game it plays smoothly bar one bug in the Caretaker's Hut (unclued exit). This is not game breaking. The ratio of puzzles to geography could have been upped somewhat as there are a lot of empty locations in the forest and the castle; however the descriptions are interesting. This would be a good game for a beginner as the puzzles such as they are shouldn't deter a tenderfoot player.
