Synopsis

Plot

You had attended the Liar's Club Annual Dinner and Prize Giving. The evening had been a great success with each speaker trying to top the previous raconteur, with wild and improbable stories. But the best by far and the winner of The Cup had been Paddy Murphy with his red hair waving as he told his tale of animals in the wild.

You arrived home in a merry state and were soon fast asleep. Just before dawn you were awoken by an horrendous scream that came from the foot of your bed.

Looking down all you could see was a mass of red hair and a back covered in claw marks. Your attempts at first aid were spurned and you were told to save yourself from the Lion. Lions in Cricklewood, whatever next. Determined to get to the bottom of the mystery you quickly dressed and opened the front door........

Notes

Originally a Quilled game for ZX Spectrum and C64.

An updated PAWed version was later produced for the ZX Spectrum.

A PAWed Amstrad CP/M version was produced and sold by The Adventure Workshop.

Not up to Jack Lockerby's usual standard. Fairly linear game. Perversely, the very first puzzle was the hardest, with the final puzzle being a close second.

One of the very early River titles, remade using the PAW later on.
