SAL was the Spinnaker Adventure Language, part of the Spinnaker Adventure System; used by many games published by Spinnaker's Trillium/Telarium imprints, as well as possibly one of the Windham Classics games (Treasure Island?).
The system was developed by Spinnaker's Dick Bratt, and was most used by the Spinnaker company Byron Preiss Video Productions, Inc. It included the adventure language, as well as graphics & music programs, and was designed to help easily create cross-platform games; targeting Commodore 64, Apple II, IBM PC, and Atari ST.
