Comprehend was Penguin Software's inhouse adventure development tool, allowing for easy port of games between a number of popular systems. The system was programmed by Mark Pelczarski and Jeffrey Jay. Robert Hardy, Peter Schmitt, Eagle Berns, and Jeff Tunnell's group at Dynamix converted the interpreters for Comprehend and [the graphics tool] The Graphics Magician to other computers.
