Synopsis

Plot

You have been summoned to MI7 headquarters, popularly known as 'The Zoo' in order to unmask a mole.

The chief of MI7, Sir Arthur Cayley (known to his friends as 'Z') is extremely worried, because the plans for the new Sonic Macrothrodule are believed to have been leaked. They were kept in the safe in his office, and were there yesterday when he came in at 9 a.m.; the safe had been disturbed when he checked it this morning but the plans were still there.

Notes

Originally developed on the "Phoenix" IBM mainframe computer at Cambridge University, England in 1989 under the name Spycatcher. When it was published by Topologika several years later, this was changed to Spy Snatcher, presumably to prevent running into trouble with the authors of the similarly titled, highly controversial book (even though the game predated it), or even MI5 itself.

The BBC version was written but never officially released - it was, however, made available via the EUG.

Ported to Inform using a Perl script written by Graham A Nelson in 1999. Adam J Atkinson assisted with testing and tidying up damage to the original source code. David Kinder updated the Perl script in 2011.
