Synopsis

You take on the role of a lone explorer drawn into the ominous castle of the evil sorcerer Warlock. Inside, you'll uncover hidden rooms, magical traps, arcane symbols, and a web of perilous puzzles.

Gameplay follows classic interactive fiction conventions: exploring multiple locations, interacting with objects, and solving logical puzzles using a text parser.

Notes

Although later versions are listed elsewhere as dating from around about 1991, the game was originally published as early as 1987, sold directly by the author; see the classified advert in Amstrad Action #27.

The original Amstrad CPC version is likely to have been Quilled. This version is currently missing from the archives.

The C64 port and the initial Spectrum port were created with the Quill.

There was a later, second Spectrum version produced with the PAW by Philip Reynolds of The Adventure Workshop. It can be distinguished by its black background, rather than the blue background of the Spectrum Quilled version.

Also later, an extended and enhanced Amstrad CP/M version was produced by Philip Reynolds of The Adventure Workshop, using the PAW.

The Spectrum Quilled version was re-released by Adventure Probe.
