Synopsis

You are looking at lake Texcoco from your home town of Tenochtitlan; city state of the Aztecs. It is the dominant power in the valley of Mexico (Anahuac). Tenochtitlan is situated on the spot that will later become Mexico City.

You are an Aztec scribe. The year is 1519 (CE Acatl). Evil Omens, in the past few years, have instilled apprehension and fear in the citizens of Tenochtitlan. Their ruler, Montezuma II, shares their uneasiness. He has called for his scribes. You must go.

The game has an educational feature: in any location you can type 'h' and the game will list facts about your location as well as the people and objects present.
